Actrol is a major supplier of nitrogen and refrigerants to the refrigeration and air conditioning (HVAC&R) industries.
Its branches are supplied from its very own purpose built industrial gas storage and packaging facility, ARP Industries, located in Truganina in Melbourne’s western suburbs.
ARP was commissioned in August 2010 with more than 250,000kg of bulk refrigerant storage capacity to provide surety of supply to Actrol customers.
Refrigerants are stored in bulk storage vessels in readiness to be decanted into the familiar Actrol FlexiTrak cylinders used by tradespersons throughout Australia. Every cylinder in the Actrol cylinder circuit has a unique identification number, and the filling process is automated to ensure only the correct refrigerant type and quantity is filled into each cylinder.
ARP also supplies FlexiTrak Pump Down cylinders to Actrol; these cylinders are guaranteed internally clean and are used by the trade for temporary storage of a systems refrigerant while working on a system.
ARP employs a specially designed internal cylinder cleaning, drying and evacuation system to ensure consistent high quality results every time.
As a founding member of Australia’s product stewardship scheme operated by Refrigerant Reclaim Australia (RRA), Actrol own and provide a dedicated circuit of Refrigerant Reclaim cylinders to customers so used refrigerants can be safely sent for destruction.
ARP is equipped to reclaim these refrigerants and transfer them into larger cylinders in readiness for RRA. In February 2015 ARP commissioned new bulk nitrogen storage and filling systems to provide nitrogen to Actrol customers.
Actrol purchased many thousands of D and E size high pressure nitrogen cylinders to ensure plentiful supplies of nitrogen are always available at all its branches.
The new D and E size cylinders are equipped with easy to use cylinder valves and industry leading valve guards to better protect the cylinder valve during transport and make cylinder handling easier for its customers.
Actrol’s Australia wide branch network ensures refrigerants and nitrogen are never away from where a tradesperson is working.
As a major component of this service, ARP continues to invest in technology to meet the requirements of the HVAC&R industries, helping to ensure Actrol can easily service the evolving needs of it's customers.
