Heat Recovery Units recover what would normally be waste heat....What does this mean?
Refrigeration and air conditioning systems remove heat from refrigerated or air conditioned areas and transfer it to the atmosphere via the condenser. By installing an Ecco-Heat before the condenser this waste heat can be used to produce free hot water.
The compressor compresses low pressure/temperature refrigerant vapour to a high pressure/temperature refrigerant vapour that normally then goes to the condenser to condense into a liquid. If a Heat Recovery System is installed between the compressor and condenser, much of this otherwise “wasted” heat can be used to provide free water heating. A heat recovery hot water service is of major advantage in restaurants, hotels, motels, food processors, supermarkets, hospitals, cafeterias, dairies and fast food outlets as it has the potential to provide significant energy savings.
