The Frigbot battery is lithium Ion , just like the one in your mobile phone .
The battery is charged from the controller so its always charged when plugged in
The engineers at Frigbot suggest the battery will last about 10,000 charge / recharge cycles , which should be about 5+ years.
Sorry but we haven't had one plugged in that long to find out.
