No two days are the same up in sunny Maroochydore, Queensland. It is no wonder our gentle giant, Nathan, from Set Point Refrigeration is ready for just about any job that gets thrown his way.

I think every customer and every cold room is different, so you've got specific design conditions and capacities that we need take into account. Making sure you have the right equipment is critical to making sure you have the right result that the customer expects.

When it comes to growing his business, it has all been through word of mouth. Nathan knows that reliability and reputation are critical to success. Whether that be through executing his craft to perfection, ensuring the standard of work is consistent as he brings new technicians on to his team or simply just selecting the right product for the job.

That's pretty much my role as the business owner is selling what I want to pass on to the customer. So I need to justify why my price might be a little bit more than a competitors or why I am using a different model or a different brand. There's lots of different selling points, but it's all about just differentiating yourself and why your products better.

Nathan recommends CABERO for every job that will suit.

The heavy gauge copper pipe in the pipe runs, is going to cost more. But it's going to give you a longer life, resist deterioration and the corrosion for a little bit longer. I like the design. It's fully powder coated. It is so much easier unit to keep clean with the drain pan being able to drop completely down in one piece. And I do like the parallel tubes in the fact that you can hose it out and clean it out a lot easier. You don't have all those spots that gunk and mould, all that sort of stuff can get caught up in.

The passion that exudes from Nathan is evident when he speaks about always going the extra mile. Beyond the day to day he is constantly on the search for innovative solutions and efficient ways to help his customers. Nathan challenges his team, to never be afraid to do things differently.

We did a mushroom farm, which is a little bit of a curve ball for us. Customer came with some pretty specific design conditions. They needed a higher ambient temperature in their rooms, but also high humidity. So we had to think outside the box. We used a low temperature CABERO EVD blower

Nine times out of 10 it's refrigerating, and we've got all that set up onto an ACPAC unit. But then in winter we obviously need to warm the rooms up, so we flick it over to heat mode and bring in the defrost heaters, turns off the refrigeration system and heats the room.

Totally against everything that I suppose it's designed for, but it works a treat and the customer has got the perfect conditions that they actually are trying to achieve with quite easy adjustment when they need to change the settings, but it's worked out perfectly.

Do things differently with Cabero today.
